IELTS And Test Format
IELTS is a testing system that is designed for the students , to check their ability to read, write and listen English . For students , who wish to study in foreign Universities.
IELTS is recognised by many universities in Canada, Australia,New Zealand,UK and Australia.
There are four subtests or Modules to IELTS Test.
1-Reading
2-Listening
3-Writing
4-Speaking
While all the students give listening and speaking tests, they sit different reading and writing tests.
It takes almost 30 minutes. A cassette is played with increasing order of difficulty. The played audio may be a dialogue or a conversation or a general information. This cassette is played once. All the questions must be answered while the recording is being played, though you get the time to check your answers.
Reading Section lasts for 60 minutes. It consists of 3 sections. with increasing order of difficulty. Three section contain different three passages of comprehension which have to be answered or either u have to choose true or false .
Writing Section also lasts for 60 minutes. It consists of 2 tasks. Task 1 consist of a topic that is given to you, in which you have to write on a topic with atleast 150 words.
Task 1 consists of a topic, in which u have to write on a topic with atleast 250 words. Task 2 is more important as it contains more marks.
Remember You should write in passive form, in order to score good. And choose formal style
This section lasts for 11-14 minutes. in this section you will face to examiner one to one. This sections would be in three parts, first the examiner would ask for your introduction.
Then on a specific topic, or a book you read recently. and in third sections detail on what you told him in second section.

Tips for Ielts Speaking
Ielts , I think is the key or you may say a plus point for the admission in Foreign unversities. Now a days, TOEFL isn't accepted in most of the Universities.As TOEFL was too difficult for the beginers.People mostly prefer IELTS to TOEFL,It is because when you give a command to computer it is somewhat difficult to get scores to a maximum range. But in IELTS you are facing a person and you have to ans his few questions.
Following rules may help you during speaking test of IELTS.
1-Be confident in front of examiner.
2-Speak fluently
3-Focus on your pronunciation
4-Doesnt matter what you (info) , your tense should be accurate
5-dont use vocabulary to impress him
6-speak fluently and relax while talking and give a smile
NOW I WILL TELL YOU MOSTLY WHAT QUESTIONS ARE ASKED BY EXAMINER
1-it consists of three parts
2-Your introduction ( name,place where u live,what u want to do)
3-what are your hobbies
4-sports u like
5-some topics like where you have to give your opinion may be about a book u recently read
You have to be careful , a recorder would be place at a side . the examiner would listen your recording with ease after u go, so speak with confident and give your mind ease.
Insha Allah following this rule would give u minimum of 6 bands in speaking portion
